Projections of Points- Simple Examples

1. A point A is 15 mm above HP and 10 mm in front of VP. Draw its projections


Point A is situated 15 mm above HP and 10 mm above HP. It means that, it is situated in first quadrant. When the point is situated in first quadrant, its front view is above 10 mm x-y reference line and top view is 10 mm below x-y reference line. The projections of point A is shown in figure

 

2. A point B is situated in second quadrant. The distance of point from HP and VP is 20 mm and 10 mm respectively. Draw the projection of point B.

 

3. A point C is situated in third quadrant. It is 10 mm behind VP and 12 mm below HP. Draw its projections.

 

4. A point D is 15 mm in front of VP and 25 mm below HP. Draw its projections.
